The group has eight members and we meet monthly over tea and biscuits in each others’ homes for discussion about various aspects of local history. Some members of the group have studied particular topics such as ancient routes, overseer’s accounts, mineral extraction, public transport, North Street buildings and local occupations.
Over the last few years we have considered the history of local Alms-houses, charities and libraries. We have produced various booklets which can be read at Oundle Museum including, most recently, a work covering the many places of worship throughout the town.
Members of the group will try to facilitate access to these if you contact them at monthly meetings or via a query through the website.
